How to fix Wi-Fi setup issues with your EMTHINGS device

If you are having issues with the network setup on your EMTHINGS device, the steps in this article will help you finding and fixing the problems.

  • Compatible Wi-Fi network: The EMTHINGS device supports only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks (both mesh and regular). Ensure your are using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

  • Correct network name & password: Enter the correct Wi-Fi credentials in the app during setup. If you’re unsure, contact the person who set up your network or your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

  • Check your Wi-Fi connection – Test your internet connection on a phone, computer, or tablet connected to the same network. If other devices aren’t working, contact your ISP for assistance.

  • Restart your EMTHINGS device – Use the on/off button under the device or press the LCD screen button for 5 seconds to restart.

  • Restart your router – Follow your router or modem’s instructions to reboot your internet connection.
