The EMTHINGS Smart Medication Organizer offers a comprehensive range of event notifications to facilitate effective medication management. These notifications keep users informed about key updates, including scheduled doses, missed medications, low battery status, and other important reminders. By providing real-time alerts, the system helps users stay on track with their medication regimen, enhancing adherence and minimizing the risk of missed doses. • Scheduled medication reminder: Whenever it's time to take a scheduled dose, the EMTHINGS Smart Medication Organizer notifies the user with audio-visual alerts on the device and a mobile notification is also sent. If a flexible time window is enabled, alerts are sent at the start of the scheduled time and again when the window expires, ensuring users stay informed while allowing flexibility in their medication routine.
• Medication taken: If user takes the medication at the scheuled time, a medication taken event notification is sent to the user's mobile, and the medication is marked as taken in the system.
• Medication missed: If a medication is missed, a missed medication event notification is sent to the user's mobile, and the medication is marked as not taken in the system. This ensures users are promptly informed and can take action to stay on track with their medication schedule.
• Wrong medication: If a user picks up an unscheduled medication unexpectedly, the device will alert them, indicating that it should not be taken at this time. This helps prevent errors and ensures the correct medication is taken according to the schedule.
• Missing medication bottle: If a user picks up a medication bottle and forgets to return it to the specified compartment in the organizer, the device will flag it as a missing medication bottle. Additionally, an event notification will be sent to the user's mobile to alert them about the issue..
• Low battery: If the organizer's battery runs low, a low battery event notification will be sent to the user's mobile, prompting them to charge the device and avoid any interruptions in medication management.

All these events are stored in the system and can be easily viewed through the Events tab in the EMTHINGS app. By default, the app retains event data for the past 30 days for the user's convenience, allowing easy access to medication history and tracking.

Enable family & friends to stay informed: EMTHINGS offers an event notification sharing functionality via EMTHINGA app, allowing users to add family members, friends, or caretakers to receive their medication events via app. This feature is highly beneficial as it acts as an additional layer of support, enabling others to intervene if the user misses a medication dose or encounters an issue with their medication schedule. By sharing these notifications, caregivers or loved ones can stay informed and provide timely assistance, ensuring that the user adheres to their medication plan.
